Collection: Program on Nonprofit Organizations (PONPO)
Yale SOM Program on Social Enterprise, in conjunction with the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies, manages the Program on Nonprofit Organizations (PONPO) that has operated at Yale for more than 25 years. PONPO’s principal mission is to bring researchers and practitioners in the non-governmental sector together to explore areas of shared concern. It runs a seminar series in which leading practitioners and researchers present findings from their ongoing work.
PONPO's Cases in Nonprofit Governance Series of 24 cases is a unique curricular resource, offering perspectives on the dynamics of nonprofit governing boards. Cases 1 through 13 are available in the book, Nonprofit Boards and Leadership: Cases on Governance, Change, and Board-Staff Dynamics, edited by Miriam M. Wood, and published by Josey Bass publishers. Cases 14 through 24 are available for download through the Yale Management Media storefront and the SOM Case Directory.
